Disney’s Tower of Terror Closing

Rumors are confirmed.  Disney’sTower of Terror ride is closing for good.  While some die-hard fans of the ride are petitioning to keep it going, many MARVEL fans are singing praises over the new exciting announcement.  During the San Diego Comic Con event on Saturday, Disney unveiled their big plans to open a spectacular new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction in place of Hollywood Tower of Terror.  The last chance for Tower of Terror fans to ride the tower will be in early 2017.

During Disney’s big announcement, it was revealed that the attraction will feature Super Heroes from the movie, allowing guests to mingle right in with characters.  The Disney Blog describes the attraction as an “Epic Adventure” featuring various ride profiles and, of course, the movie’s fantastic soundtrack.

While some fans are bummed about the ride change, many Disney enthusiasts argue that the park should continue to change along with the times.  It is, they argue, the nature of the park.  It wasn’t meant to be a stagnant experience, but rather, a place where dreams continue to grow and change with the times. Walt Disney himself stated:

“Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.”

Marvel was acquired by the Disney company in 2009 for $4 Billion and has since produced movies such as Ant Man, Captain America, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, The Avengers, and Iron Man (just to name a few).
