20 Years Since This Unbelievable Moment

It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since this unbelievable moment in Olympic history.  In July of 1996 the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team, The Magnificent Seven, pulled through on an incredible win.  Viewers inside the arena and everywhere else in the world were shocked when Dominique Moceanu fell not once but TWICE during her vault.  It was an unlikely twist – something that no one expected from any of Bela Karolyi’s girls – particularly at that phase in the game.  The fate of the team was left in Kerri Strug’s hands.  With an injured ankle, Strug proceeded to execute an unbelievable vault, successfully leading her team to an Olympic victory.

Here’s a glimpse of history in the makings.
